Today we're gonna give a brief rundown on the 4% rule, originally developed by William Bengen. The 4% rule had me paralyzed back in the day, because I didn't think I'd ever have enough of a nest egg to retire. Based on this rule, if you want your retirement funds to last for 30 years, you need 25X your required annual income. Of course, this is if you've got the standard stock/bond asset allocation.
